Marginalia -- The Journal of the Medieval Reading Group at Cambridge

Welcome to Marginalia

Welcome to Marginalia, the journal of the Medieval Reading Group at Cambridge.

We are delighted to announce the publication of the fourteenth issue of Marginalia, the Cambridge Yearbook for 2011, which features articles by Sophie Sawicka-Sykes (University of East Anglia) and Rhiann Woodend (Clare College, Cambridge); these consider respectively the role of Ecclesiastes in Passus X of William Langland's Piers Plowman (B-Text), and perceptions of 'schir heorte' in the Ancrene Wisse. Also included are our regular reviews of recent important publications in the field of medieval studies.

Our previous issue, on the theme of Taste, is now in our archive section.
